The Dawg Gone Podcast

It's that time of the year again, kids. We here at Dawg Sports and The Dawg Gone Podcast would like to take a moment to discuss the things for which we're thankful. Things like four years of Aaron Murray, the preparedness of Hutson Mason, and the ability to hate Georgia Tech with everything we have.

To celebrate Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate Week, we brought a familiar voice back to us for an episode. The Mayor himself, T. Kyle King, joins me and we wax Dawg Poetic about Aaron Murray being one of the greatest DGDs alive, which assistant coaches might want to polish up that resume, and why Georgia Tech shouldn't considered a rival as much as a waste of our time.

Hello again, kids! One of the problems with running a podcast or blogging in general is that as soon as your team loses, there's this unbearable duty to write or talk about it. So, in this episode, I wax Dawg Poetic about the most popular open letter in the blogosphere, why Todd Grantham drives me so crazy, and why we don't need to worry at all about Kentucky this weekend (hint: they can't score).

Also, my apologies to you guys in that I had to go solo yet again. Granted, it makes for shorter shows, which you guys have remarked to me over email that you like, but I did say I wanted to have MaconDawg on this week and I couldn't get with him to make it happen. I'm in the middle of moving right now, and my nights are filled with packing rooms. Truthfully, I'm just glad I got a podcast out, because I seriously considered having to put a nix on it for the week.

Being pessimistic is what we do around here. Ever since I've started reading Dawg Sports, much less being an active contributor here, there's always been a heavy dose of Munson in our blood. However, I've always been a positive fan. For those familiar with the UGA message boards, one could label me a "Disney Dawg" in the past.

Those days are no more, it seems. From my griping about only beating Florida by three points, to the vitriol I got on Twitter after saying I thought Murray had a terrible game after North Texas, this hasn't been my season of optimism. So, in this solo episode, I fully embraced the pessimism.

Don't get me wrong, for most of the show, I wax Dawg Poetic about how we can beat Auburn, and I throw some great stats at you that makes you think we have a puncher's chance. Then, I yank the rug right out from under you at the end, and finish it up with my "Stronger" Munson Mix, in which the chorus states, "that don't kill me, only makes me stronger."

My name is Kit and I've finally hit rock bottom and I couldn't tell you why. The only thing that can save me is for me to be completely and blatantly wrong. Let's hope that's the case.

Hello, lovelies! You know, I think one of the signs of the apocalypse is when you complain about any win against Florida, much less one that signals the beginning of an official streak. Yet, I find myself ranting this entire episode about how unfulfilled I was in Saturday's three point win over the Gators.

Maybe it's just me. In fact, it probably is just me, but in this episode I wax Dawg Poetic in solo fashion as I ponder why we only won by three instead of 30, who might be at fault because of that, and why Aaron Murray could very well be the best thing to happen to Georgia in quite some time (you know, because we like to end on a positive note every now and then).
